“Paper Boats”
Little Tangent
Role
Editor, colour
Full length
3:18
Delivered
16:9 master, 4K, vertical teaser
The brief
A solo artist and a small budget. They had one location, a canal, and a folder of handheld clips.
What I did
I cut the video as a walk along the water, with the artist appearing in the second verse. Colour is cool grey with one yellow raincoat as a motif. A short vertical teaser was cut from the chorus after the master was locked.
Result
Picked up by two music blogs in its first month, and streams of the single rose by a third.
