The brief
A week-long cooking challenge shot on two cameras across seven days. They needed one watchable story, not seven vlogs.
What I did
I built the cut around the pantry shelf, which empties as the video goes on. Dead air between steps went. I kept the burnt dinner at full length because the room tone sold it. Colour is warm and low contrast, and music drops out under every spoken joke.
Result
Viewers stayed for 61% of the video on average, the channel’s best this year.
